Part 1 and 2 are great but I couldn't get into stands or villians of the week and they shouldn't have brought back dio since it felt like a step down from fighting gods.

Diamond is Unbreakable is very comfy to watch. Part 3 gets better in its second half. Part 4 is tied with part 2 for me just because how fucking calming Morioh feels.

Fuck yeah, watching it all though I still haven't been assed to read the manga.
Something about these manly badasses with those ridiculously flamboyant poses and clothes just does it for me.
And I'd always loved series that use the powers creatively.

Didn't really get into it until the second half of Stardust Crusaders. I feel like that's where the fights in the series actually become interesting instead of completely random bullshit. Part 2 was pretty good up until Joseph defeats Santana tho. Part 7 is best part

But I fell like the popularity of the anime has attracted the worst type of people.

It's hard to put into words, but I think the best description I can give is.
It fully comprehends how bad or cheeky it can be at times, but it never acknowledges it.

I just think it's very genuine the way Araki goes about it. Just seemingly effortlessly writing ridiculous plots with little to no concern over how it will turn out. Taking his time, yet he's not self-conscious about his work at all. At least not after the first few parts.

It's really ridiculous, and yet it doesn't care. It continues as if it is completely normal.
It's just amazing seeing how people either hate it for that or love it to death.

Really solid show. I love the humor and bittersweetness; makes me laugh then makes me cry. I can see how it's not for everyone though.
