My mother fucked some random guy at a party and had no interest in being with him. She thought having a baby would be like a pet or something but I guess that phase quickly passed.
She fought hard for me but only when I was about to be taken by child services. The rest of the time things were always difficult. Being raised by a mentally ill single mother with no other close adults is not fun.

Foster care would have probably been worse but being adopted would have very likely been better.

I feel like I was mostly raised by my mom, even though I had a dad. My dad I'd say about 75% of the time was working out of state but never wanted to do "bond" with me.

Whenever he came home all he wanted to do was watch TV all day. We eventually started to get on slightly better terms later in life but at that point it was too late and the damage and had been done. All of my friends in school that actually had a normal son-father relationship went on to be normans. Not me though.
