You're 27. If you haven't started balding at the crown by age 30-40, you'll prolly never actually go fully bald. You have better hair genetics than the majority of men by the looks of it if you are infact 27.
>>36896918
Comparing yourself to celebrities of the past few decades isn't going to help. Hair transplants and hair drugs have been a thing since the 90s, and nearly every young male celebrity suffering from hair loss has undergone some sort of hair treatment. A better example would be Clint Eastwood where he was rocking a Norwood 2 for like 60 years. But, that's a minority of men.
That said, try not to overblow this problem into some existential crisis like the fags on hairloss forums do.

>mfw every time I see a /bald/ thread, reminding me that I could go bald any day now
Could you guys explain this to me? I have a fine head of hair, that doesn't seem like it'll go away anytime soon, so I don't understand. With all the other problems that afflict us, like obesity, complete lack of social skills, loneliness, unemployment and such, is losing your hair really that big of a deal? We're already all hideous, both inside and out, I doubt baldness could worsen people's views of us.
Or are all the people complaining about this the guys who still have hope for bettering their lives and getting a gf?
>>36897537
Because baldness makes you go from an already pathetic 3/10 to -1/10 my man.
>>36897537

>>36896798
I thought it was a centipede to begin with bro
>>36896798
Anyone else going bald like this?
Of course I'm not nearly as bad as pic related but it's so fucking annoying, a lot of people don't even notice, but I can't style my hair with gel, I can just cut them short at the sides and longer on top, that's it, I can't make them stand up with gel or other products because then it would be noticeable if the hair is wet.
I have gone under PRP and some hair recovered, but it still isn't back to normal, my sister and brother have the same thing, I've had it since I was 16, now I'm 21.
Also once I tried going with a very short buzzcut and everyone told me I looked weird/ like a pin head, normally people say I'm attractive, so I'm not gonna shave it off if it doesn't get worse, and I don't think it will since I do PRP
Buzzcut isn't good on diffuse thinner because the problem with us isn't the hairline receding but the all around thinning, so while we can give the illusion of not having suffered hairloss if we keep them longer on top, if we cut them short on top it becomes noticeable since it's sparse.
The strands of hair themselves are thick, but they are sparse because I suffered rapid hairloss when i was 15-16, since then it stopped shedding abnormally, especially thanks to PRP.
>>36896798
i'm almost 28. it's been like this since age 16 or so. at least it's not getting worse.

Thanks r9k.
Way to ruin my nice wakk this morning by reminding me of this terrible fate.
I am 25 and like many others have gone from 10/10 hair to a thinning mess. Hairloss is the worst thing that could happen to a man.
It yakes away any self confidence you once had and robs you of any way to seem attractive to others.
I want surgery so dam bad but i whats the point if its just going to continue? Ill just need more surgery to fill in the patches till ihave no good hair left to use.
Inb4 take fin the only thing worse then hairloss is the loss of your dick function which is a 20% chance when taking fin. Plus the moment you stop fin all the hair falls out so its literally a daily dose till you die.
>>36900308

My hairline began the have the appearance of receding when I was 19. But I'm nealy 24 now and it literally hasn't changed and my hair is still incredibly thick.

I'm completely fucked. Not so much due to my receding hairline, but due to the fact that I am hideously ugly everywhere else. I could pull off a #2 buzzcut and look okay if I didn't have a recessed mandible/maxilla, short face syndrome, or a fucked up kike nose. I'm only 20, and it sucks to know that I have absolutely no chance. I'm still in pretty deep denial and have dp/dr but every so often I have moments of clarity that really mess me up. I'm at the "wear a cap 24/7 phase" because of how disproportionate and disgusting my face is

Could be a mature hairline, could be beginning stages of mpb. The fact that your dad is balding means that you are at risk too. The "it comes from your mother's side" is largely an oversimplification of things; we can inherit it from our fathers as well
My mongoloid hair genes are going to serve me well I think. No one on dad's side is balding and there are only a few on moms side, and even then no one is completely bald. I'm 22.

Does anyone think you can fight hair loss forever? There's a lot of different drugs for it it seems like you can just keep adding them
There's
Fin
Dut
Ru
Minoxidil
And then on top of that they make minoxidil extra strength and with more shit in it

>>36902349
Can you really use all these and keep hair for life
>>36902463
don't do this to yourself, people WILL look at you like a fucking loser if they find out, no exceptions
>>36902349
Fin and Dut are exclusive. You don't use both. Dut is a stronger version of Fin that inhibits more of your DHT. DUT is a legit risk, and one I'm not comfortable taking, especially since Fin hasn't improved my hair after a year on it, just stopped the miniaturization.
Ru is experimental as fuck and there's virtually no credible studies done for it. Probably the biggest gamble.
Your best bet is 5% minox and 1mg Fin, and if you don't have side effects, you can ask your derm to increase fin to 5mg, if nothing else it will maintain what you have, which will make the hair transplant less expensive and also the outcome of you looking good post-surgery is more likely.
Dermaroller is a low risk high potential benefit for low money, get on that shit. Buy disinfectants and let no one else touch it. Go read up some guides on how and when to use it on hair forums.
>>36902621
I just wanna use fin nox and minoxidil now but when I'm older I want to add the other stronger ones

>>36902486
No, it only slows the progression, sometimes reverses it for a time depending on how well you respond. But it's not a permanent solution, it will catch up with you eventually, especially if you started balding at a young age.
>>36902349
They came out with a new one recently. Topical spironolactone, which up until now has been an oral drug where the user risked body feminization. From what I hear it's the same effectiveness as fin but with none of the side effects.
That's not even bad you dipshit
>>36896798
>>36896823
That's pretty much just like mine. I'm also 27. For now it doesn't bother me. I used to be really paranoid about it. When I was younger I used to wear a baseball cap all the time. Now I grew used to it. I'm trying to copy Justin Theroux, that dude just looks badass. I only need to get ripped.
>>36902770
Justin is fucking handsome. That hairline of his is so weird though. This pic is from 2001 and it hasn't changed in 16 years.
>>36902399
The issue with that is that to get results that look close to a full head of hair, you're looking at spending $50k~ over several procedures.
>>36896798
>Tfw born with a hairline like this

>>36903022
If you're born with it and it still hasn't gone anywhere, that's still pretty good, right?
>>36902849
he's probably on finasteride and probably had some procedure done, there's a picture of him where he has a bald spot on the back of his head
His hair is unnaturally thick for that kind of hairline
>>36903155
No because people think I'm fucking going bald when I was just born with a hairline that looks like I'm going bald, so for the rest of my life I will be neither bald nor have hair I will just be balding
I started balding at 18. The worst kind - diffuse thinning. I can say from experience that finasteride and minoxidil does work. Just don't expect them to work miracles, they won't give you a full head of hair. The effects are subtle but noticeable. I used them for several years and then stopped about a year ago (simply because I stopped caring), and since stopping, my hair loss has got so much worse that I'm actually nostalgic for the hair that I had back then because it was great compared to now.
>>36904065
>tfw diffuse thinning like you and didn't actually lose any hairs whatsoever, only shed normally like everyone (50 ish hairs a day)
but the miniaturization of my hairs in my crown area just makes it look like I lost a shitload, and the hairs are always so soft and small compared to my terminal hairs

The hairline doesn't matter that much, I think most people are just posting to show off at this point. Morrissey had a badly receding hairline in his early twenties, but the hair that he did have was very thick. It's the crown and its thickness and coverage that matters; a widow's peak means nothing and is actually fairly attractive.
I changed my diet and stopped some bad habits like hoy showering and excessive masturbation and got some shampoo to strengthen my hair.
But is my shit still fucked or nah? Sorry I dont have before pic I tend to delete my photos every other month
>>36900412
It all depends. Just because you start to lose it doesn't mean you're gonna go totally bald. My father's hair has been slightly thinned my whole life but never got worse. His other buddies he'd hang with were much the same. One's only starting to continue to bald now in his 60s after having it stable until then.
So it all depends. Typically if it stablizes you should be good to go for a few decades at least.
But it's up to how nervous you are about it.
>>36904290
>tfw receding hairline, crown thinning, *and* diffuse thinning
It's passable if I do a side-part, but otherwise it looks like shit. I'm 25; this has been going on since 22. I'm hoping it'll stabilize, but I've stopped holding my breath.
>>36902463
If you're willing to dump a couple hundred bucks into it you can get one that looks decent.
But its expensive to maintain, and some people probably will notice.
>>36903210
He could have just lucked out.
Just because you get MPB doesn't always mean you'll go totally slick bald.
>>36897721
Diffuse thinning is both good and bad. Sucks that it's all over and no amount of styling can really help. But it's also easy to just toss some toppik in there and call it a day. So long as it blends well most people won't be able to tell.
>>36900739
Kyle F get off r9k
>>36905108
Whomst is that nigga?
>>36904364
Wait, do cold showers and nofap actually help your hairline? I know diet does
>>36905204
Diet is debatable. If you've been starving yourself, you'll definitely lose some hair, but it'll eventually come back when you eat right again.
Nofap doesn't work though. The theory is that nofap decreases testosterone, and the resulting DHT, so hair won't start thinning. This doesn't work because men naturally have DHT in their systems anyway as a result of being men, and balding is based off your hair's sensitivity to DHT itself. The DHT level isn't the problem, it's your hair.
Why does balding exist?
>>36897537
Say you really like wearing T-shirts, and wear them everyday your whole life. You start noticing some shit happening to your arms and one day you look in the mirror and say
>Jesus christ, I need to cover this shit up
It's so bad that you can never wear a T-shirt again.
This is what happened when I started balding at 18. I kept my hair on the long side my whole life, thick hair with curls around my ears, and one day my hair had thinned on my crown so much that it laid flat on my head but the hair on my sides stuck out still. I looked like fucking bozo the clown. I just couldn't keep my hair long anymore, and never will for as long as I live. People freak out about it because they are losing a piece of their identity. I shave my head now, and I got lucky with my head shape and beard genetics, but many guys don't even have that.
A girl never run her hands through my hair though, and I will never be conventionally attractive, if I ever was.
>>36905326
It's speculated that it began as a way to protect men at higher risk for prostate cancer by exposing their skin to more UV rays.
>>36905451
So more sun would slow down balding
>>36905381
>I shave my head now, and I got lucky with my head shape and beard genetics, but many guys don't even have that.

It took me about 6 months for everything to come back, but it's not uncommon for it to take up to a year.
