In some parts of Asia, in particular India, toilets are a new concept and they are used to pooping in the open fields. Apparently many country side folks have difficulties getting used to pooping on toilets. To their defense, your bowel doesn't open completely when sitting compared to squatting, so it is technically harder to poop on a toilet than on the floor.
