mines pretty bad to the point where it's fucked up my life. I have no interest or will to succeed. Majorly indecisive when I try to do something to the point I just give up and do nothing.

Abulia is the most prominent symptom of my MDD in association with motor retardation. Every episode follows a predictable pathway in the course of at least a few weeks.

>abulia kicks in
>indecisiveness
>procrastination
>can't get myself to do anything remotely productive
>do nothing but aimessly browsing the internet
>can't go outdoors
>stop doing housekeeping
>soon can't even use the computer
>stop showering
>can't get up from bed
>manage to eat once every 2-3 days
>at least can crawl to the toilet when needed so I don't piss and shit myself
>don't even bother crawling back to bed
>do nothing but lying motionless on the floor
>mental activity also decreases, no will to even complete a thought

Then it gets progressively better. It's the main reason why I'm a PhD dropout.

Damn youre worse than me. Though Im surprised you even went to college.

Mine is milder but more constant. I have no interest to learn or do anything productive. I scraped by in high school, was glad it was over and never bothered with college.

Its like I have no interest in being a human, living in society and the responsibility it brings

i didnt know the word but fuck yes i do

Mine has always been episodic but it wasn't incapacitating back in my uni years. Antidepressants used to make me functional but not anymore. Beware that it can get worse. Get professional help if you haven't yet.

>>36884292
I'm never sad when depressed, though. Apathy and emotional anaesthesia (inability to feel any emotions) are common features of melancholic MDD.
>>
>>36884445
I have. Nothing ever works.
>>
>it's another "can't even force yourself to be productive" episode

this is the hell on earth to end all hell on earths. The only thing that helps are stimulants, but even that is only a slight improvement.
