That's why it's nice to wake up at 4:30 am to go to a gym open 24 hours so you don't have to deal with others if you're fat or underweight. It's a good routine to get up before sunrise anyways .

This...I used the gym because I wanted to work on my lower back gainz.
Then I got fat.

Gyms piss me off. They're normally full of vain, weak people who need to work out in an air conditioned room to pretend they are strong. I work out, but it's at home and outside with an old rusty weight set. When I go for runs, I go outside extremely early in the morning when it's super cold.

However, in an age where obesity is an epidemic and people gorge themselves on fast food, it's hard to actually criticise people who make exercise a part of their daily routine, even if they are doing it for vanity reasons. Most people at the gym just wanna socialise a bit, work out, and go home. They're not there to judge anyone.

It's not totally mistaken. There is literally a night and day difference between the people that show up at certain times, at least in my experience. I usually go in the middle of the night/early as fuck in the morning and there is a noticeable shift when the odd girl wanders in. Always have to roll my eyes a bit when the shirts start suddenly coming off and mild grunting turns into super saiyan transformations when a vagina gets on an elliptical. The douchiest dudes also seem to be there when the most women are around also. It is nice when girls aren't there though.

all you really need for a home gym is a power rack, bench and olympic bar+weights. you could probably get it for under a $1000 and it would pay itself off after a couple years of not paying for a gym membership.
