I actually underwent the Nuss procedure last month. Still recovering, and I do feel pain and discomfort and even depression sometimes (due to the fact that I can't move around as well or much), but I think it'll be worth it in the long run. I have pectus excavatum, severe scholiosis, polycystic kidneys and ulcerative colitis. I never doubted my faith until the diagnosis of the last two diseases and I have no clue why this happened to me. I lied to my girlfriend about my chest and told her it got crushed in a car accident, idk why this is somehow more acceptable than just being fucked over at birth. I got diagnosed with the diseases during our relationship. I constantly worry that she would never have dated the person I am but can't leave now or everyone will think she's a bitch.
