Anyone here who's a NEET but not a complete waste of space? And instead of wanting to spend time with other people doing frivolous things, you're working at bettering yourself? With a goal in mind, stopping at nothing to achieve it.

Mine is to become a polyglot. I spend all my waking time either studying the language, listening to music or watch tv shows in that language. What are some of your goals that you're working towards?
>>
Well, that's not exactly being schizoid, more like obsessively pursuing one goal at the expense of everything else. But yes, I do the same thing.
>>
Is it possible to not have a diagnoses, but to pursue a diagonoses until you obtain that diagnoses and you have the exact same lifestyle as that diagnoses would have, mediated by anti pyschotic drugs? Yes.
>>
yo what's the best way to study language

Good job my friend!
You've memed yourself into believing that by teaching yourself languages instead of pursuing entertainment,
you're somehow better than your fellow men.
Guess I'll "self improve" in the art of gaming, by enlighten myself with Japanese media and by having riveting discussions with great minds worldwide

Faking a mental disorder is retarded. Why would you WANT to be like that? I mean, you have the normalfaggot mindset, you have normalfaggot mannerism, you have normalfaggot experience and potential, why would you want to get rid of all that just to PRETEND to have a debilitating mental disorder?

You don't want my life, you seriously don't, I WISH I was a normalfag.

t. Actually diagnosed with real autism and real mental disorder by actual medical and specialist mental health professionals who hold doctorates.

You know how I know you're full of shit?

The fact that you've come here to tell us all about yourself. Wannabe. I bet you fail your goal.
>>
Being a loner can be a choice. If you need to label it, that's fine too.

Depends on the language, but because I'm already bilingual, it makes things easier as I can pinpoint exactly what I need to do to be fluent and work towards it.

Most important aspects of language as divided into:
Vocabulary
Grammar
Reading/speaking/listening/writing

I spend around 2 hours on each section and maybe 2 sections a day depending on how much energy I have during the day.

For vocab, I use standard textbooks, or sometimes you have special language tests which can guide you on what kind of vocabulary is necessary. Get a list of 10 or so words a day, use flash cards, making sure to test yourself on both side ie. english into [language] and vice versa. Practice spelling too. I would only start making flashcards after writing out the new words 20 or so times. Use apps to further enhance this. Review flashcards/apps whenever possible (ie. on the bus, brushing your teeth) sometimes when I'm bored I'd try to list out the objects/nouns I see around me in the other language. Vocab is probably the easiest part as it is pure memorization. However it is also the most essential.

Next comes grammar, I use tons of online grammar guides and textbooks to cross reference. I do one chapter or one grammar rule per day, firstly writing it out on a notebook with full given examples. At the end of the week, I will then solidify this knowledge into a small notepad, condensed. Sometimes I put these rules on my wall so if I'm ever not doing anything, I can just glance at it. Grammar is quite difficult (depending on the language) so I have to spend lots of time to review it. I've recently bought a grammar dictionary which is useful as a reference.

Reading:
Textbook, they generally have tons of reading practice. I have several textbooks for this. I also try to translate the news with a dictionary nearby. This will become easier proportional to the amount of vocab yo know.

Why bother learning a language if you don't talk to anybody?
>>
>>36861585
Listening:
Again, tv shows, movies, music, anything in the other language with subtitles. Really immerse yourself. I watch one episode of this tv show while I'm working out on the treadmill. And will listen to music while showering, if I have trouble falling asleep, I'll listen to the radio.

Writing:
Textbooks will have plenty of exercises for you to do. I also keep a journal of my day in the other language.

Speaking:
This is perhaps the hardest aspect of language learning if you are not in the language spoken country. I've joined a few online groups where people do language exchange. Sometimes, I learn to sing songs of the language. But again, I will be going on an exchange soon so that I can full immerse myself.

Learning a new language isn't impossible but it definitely requires patience and dedication. If you put in the enough hours, you'll see yourself improve in no time. Plus when I'm learning a language, the negative thoughts I have in English, are replaced in my head with foreign symbols instead. Feels good.

I am a loner by choice, yes. Only 5 hours until I'm off work and my 3 day weekend begins. I will never leave the computer except to obtain foods :)

What language are you 'fluent' in? I'm a little skeptical since you keep on mentioning textbooks and you are still watching with subtitles.

For a language that is very different from English you are going to quickly realize that there is a shit ton of vocabulary to learn and learning the grammar is the easy part

> no schizoids want interaction with others
> schiuzoid by choice

I know some diagnosed schizoids, including myself, 'like' ( don't mind) social interaction on a superficial level, as not much emotional bonding is necessary. Also there is no such thing as schizoid by choice, sorry OP.

I always wanted to make a webcomic I'm working on drawing but I'll doubt I'll ever be good enough. But it passes the time and makes me dream and ignore reality if just for a little while.
