Flying cars are just impractical if your city is rationally laid out. It takes way more energy to fly than to drive. You're going to spend a fortune on gas or electricity in a flying car. I just can't wait for self driving cars to be the norm, because then we can do stuff in the time we normally spent driving, like playing video games or shitposting or masturbating. And once everyone on the road has a self driving car, speed limits could probably be raised because the computers in the cars can react faster than humans and communicate with each other and stuff.
