Even INTP women cannot understand our feels
you can only accept flawed relationships that crumble after a few months
>>
>>36813104
People do many unnecessary things and react on impulse, so you feel guilty when you take advantage of it in such situations as:
>having successfully analyzed the structure of a joke and mass-producing it out of habit, making them think you're witty
>finding out the right things to say to a crying woman and being disappointed when you notice it always works
>staring at a woman who insults you, knowing full well that she'll apologize later and wondering if she doesn't know that right now
etc. People are weird.

I'm ENTP woman and think I understand a lot of it, like what you say about relationships there. I'm always curious to hear people's perspectives and experiences, so I asked >>36813104.
>>36813135
Interesting. Does social interaction feel unnatural and like it's done completely through intellect to you? I see exactly what you mean analysing people and figuring out their triggers, pushing buttons, knowing how to act in certain situations and being conscious of social interaction, but for me it's mostly natural, and I'm pretty impulsive.
>>36813143
>>36813157
Thanks for your replies.
>>36813181
I wouldn't have expected INTP to be manipulative from what I normally hear from people of that type, interesting. Doesn't really surprise me much, though.
>>
>>36813185
exactly, as much as I dont really want it to be true I'm pretty sure it is
>>
>>36813135
>>36813181
Interesting, you look at conversation in its very rawest format seeing through everything and realising how simple it all is and how easy it would be to vocalise a string of words in the right order to change the persons perceptions and actions
If that didn't make sense forgive me I'm an Intj
>>
>>36813208
As you can probably tell I've almost automatized it by now, it used to be pretty hard.
The problem is that if you make it a habit, you can't quite read the mood and end up shooting jokes when people might not like it, or you detect a good setup but the content is sensitive (dead babies or whatever); I often laugh at shit that is constructed as a joke and get funny looks or "anon that's not funny".
Then there's the emotional interaction: I tend to look at things in terms of solving problems, but people seem to prefer sharing and receiving empathy from the listener. That's hard to fake too. They notice.
>>
>>36812632
So on that note, where can I find INTP, ENTP and INTJ men?
>>

Hmm, I think I can relate a lot as ENTP, even though it's different. Like showing empathy often feels fake for me. Usually I'm told I'm very empathetic and I'm good at showing it, though. Someone recently said to me a lot of the empathy I show to others seems fake, but also not like it's malicious or I'm doing anything wrong.

>>36813282
This entire post is pretty much spot on. I have a hard time interjecting in a conversation. Sometimes I have a joke to tell which may be funny, but I either deliver the joke poorly or have bad timing or I can't be heard. So most of the time if I'm in a group, I'm usually outspoken and overshadowed.

>>
>>36813431
>Yeah, the difference might be that Introverted types hate doing it
That sounds right. To me, a lot of INTP feels sound the same or almost the same to mine as an ENTP, except it sounds less comfortable and like you have more trouble socially, like interaction is just less natural. I still relate a lot though, since even if I can naturally socialise a lot better, it still feels kinda fake and I struggle to connect with anyone more than superficially.
>>
So I'm curious-what are the INTP/ENTP/INTJ types generally into? I've never found any men who like history, philosophy, classic literature (and classics in the traditional sense-I'm a keen scholar of Ancient Greek and Latin) and general academia as much as I do (I do have other interests like video games and music-generally new wave and classic rock, but they're secondary). Often they -say- they do but a cursory quiz of anything they say they've read proves otherwise. Is this just a human thing I'm going to have to get used to, or a type thing?
>>
>>36813482
well I'm interested in history and I'd think that most intjs will get into history eventually. It is probably one of the more common interests among us
>>
>>36813482
I'm ENTP and like all that, but I'm not male. Most people have pretty shallow interests in things, both men and women, and when they like something, they don't get -really- into it. I tend to go through a lot of different subjects and interests, and when I like something, I get right into it and soak up and retain information really easily. But why are we different? I don't know. I don't think it's a type thing. Probably more something to do with intelligence, dopamine, and focusing/attention spans.

Think of society as a river and people swimming alongside the current without noticing. Intps know of the current but won't speak up about it because they'll get weird looks by everyone else. So they lie and deceive not because they want to, but because they have to, feeling bad about it afterwards.

I'm aggressive and think of hurting other people a lot, especially when irritated, and I've thought of murder that way before, but most of the time when I harm others it's impulsive. >are you like completely un aware your surroundings and only live in a world inside your head?
Kek, sounds like a sensor trying to wrap their heads around intuitive thinking, alright.
>>
>>36813998
Hello INTP girl. Let's go and be INTPs together.
>>
>>36814053
It means you take in the information, but then interpret it and mull over it in your head, and add layers of meaning/link it with other information etc. etc. So you connect the complex world in your head to the world around you, but don't bother as much ABOUT the world around you.
Or at least, that's what it's like for me.
>>
>>36814068
I have tertiary introverted intuition so I have a taste of it but I assume it's less vague and abstract in dominant and auxiliary types.
>>

>>36813978

>>36813104
I guess the easiest way for me to explain it is like having a brain that's separate from my body. I sort of absorb everything and analyze it as if it's in third person even though it's me, so I just take everything as objectively as possible. The downside is absorbing all this information like it's second hand means it's easy to forget unimportant details like names and birthdays, but the upside is because my brain is separate from my body I can be doing pretty much anything while still being completely concentrated on whatever I'm thinking about.

Yeah, but even the men here would ideally like what I describe. You speak of girls all going after 'Chads' but men also all want a "stacy". conventionally attractive and mediocrely intelligent/ interesting people have it easy in life. It leaves everyone outside of that feeling terrible about themselves and society and other people.

I have a couple of guys in my life I was friends with in high school but I choose to spend all of my time in solitude. I've never liked being around other people, alone time for me is what makes me happy. Spending time with others has always been such a drain, I always have to force conversation and try to think of things they'd like to talk about. It's caused a lot of social issues in my life, people abandoning me or getting angry and calling me weird or strange. "Old friends" threatened to stop hanging out with me al together if I don't see them, needless to say they're long gone from my life. I feel as though, all I need is myself. Cutting people out of my life has become exceedingly easy. I don't feel like I'm a cold person, though. I'm compassionate and empathetic, I just want everyone to fuck off and leave me alone.
>>
>>36814655
Mind looking up schizoid personality disorder and checking if it matches you?
>>
>>36814697
I've done so much research like that but I can't pin myself to one disorder/personality disturbance. I'll look into that specifically, though. Thanks for the input. I used to think that having something like that would be awful. Anymore, if I can find something that better describes who I am, I'd accept it. Being schizoid wouldn't bother me in the least. I'd never see a psychologist again, somehow they missed the big picture. And plus medications are out of the question. Van Gogh was a mad man, a brilliant mad man.
>>
>>36814647
> mom, dad, homework
yes

no
Ok I understand your point but is it possible to discipline yourself? I dont think getting beat would help. Also it doesnt have to work immediately, just a gradual change
>>
>>36814749
Uh, mad people are just as talentless as the average person, if not more talentless. Even most brilliant people weren't mad.
>>
>>36814757
oh, There are many ways. search for it online. i have no precise idea now.

go ask /fit/, do you want me to do the thread for you ? (no bad intentions, genuinly giving help)
sincerly,an intp.

i have a bright idea ! cutt off the internet.
>>
>>36814854
Sorry you feel talentless.
>>
>>36814882
Ok, well I do, but that's not my point. Mad people have no more talent than normal people, on average.
>>
>>36814920
define talent.
>>
>>36814920
I didn't ever say that insane people are more or less talented than anyone else. I was getting at the notion that not all (((mental illness))) is a negative thing. That just because you're weird or exhibit signs of a mental disorder doesn't automatically mean you're worthless or a waste of a person.
>>
>>36814929
I was thinking creative/productive/artistic talent, but if you consider being a functional human being a talent then not-mad people are way more talented.
>>
>>36814951
True. I tend to read a lot into other people's posts.
>>

I'd rather someone read further into things than reply with normieville " be yourself" excrement
>>
>>36813208
it's not that INTPs try to manipulate, but it's hard to not realize that there is no way that they can avoid affecting you

Thank you for your advice
I dont want to become /fit/, just disciplined mentally, like being able to make a schedule and follow it and being able to set up a long term plan like INTJ's do.
Also shutting off the whole internet is a step too big for me, but maybe I could start by blocking 4chan on my router

That's what I mean. I think the "be yourself" rubbish has some merit to it. Normies are boring and regurgitate nonsense like that, but in spite of the fact they probably aren't thinking into the statement, they are what they are, in the same way we are what we are being people who rather be alone and avoid others (I'm a girl and feel a lot like >>36814655).

Trying to be anyone but yourself is really stupid. I'm glad for who I am, and there's nothing worse than not being content with yourself or trying to be someone else. Which people will try to pressure you into doing, because when you actively avoid and cut off a lot of people, or if you prefer being alone, it's seen as a red flag. It's ironic the same people who encourage you to be yourself discourage you when you do it.

Badconflictedregretfulsocoopathicsorrywaitspeakhangon

I can predict what people say.
Or think I do.

I am actually a sales rep.
I talk people into buying shit tney dont need 5 days a week.

I know how to speak to people and pull a string they cannot see.

I hate it.
I hate conversations
I hate the feeling of doing this to people

I want to talk to a person
I want

I dont have a word.
Talk is too weak.

I need a stronger medium.
A more secure medium.

I must communicate perfectly.
I need something "else"

"This"
Does not satisfy me

Some must understand

I understand the wish for a better method than talking, but don't know the feel of in-depth manipulation. I can't be bothered to interact enough to learn it and am not forced to, through other means. Even then, some people are ridiculously easy to read.

You are causing resistance and I will take my frustration out on you by way of anal sodomy.

Not out of hate or homosexuality.

Just circumstance and tranferral of physical dominion.I might PRETEND it is rape so it doesnt feel weird.

But its more like, 'you step on my shoe, kek u joker u *fuck ur ass* watch your self next time"

Am I the only anon that gets inconsistent answer?

Yesterday I was INTP today I keep getting INTJ or ENTJ.
>>
>>36814333
>yep, I have a routine time to think about my fantasies before going to sleep. then when I get bored repeating a scenario, I tweak or change it to another one. may it be romance and relationships, hobbies and interests, it's all in the mind. and most of the time, it feels better living inside the mind.

it's a never ending cycle desu
>>
>>36816705
ok
do you value loyalty? Do you hate it when people break their promises or are late for appointments?
YES! -> xNTJ
no -> INTP
second question
do you feel in charge?
yes -> ENTJ
no -> INTJ
>>

What's it say for ENFP?
>>
>>36816934

This is what's doomed me. Escapism is superior to the real world.
>>
Do INTPs have a tendency to be perfectionists?
Do they have a tendency to seek quality over quantity?
>>
>>36813056
INTPs are shit partners but make the best ex's, it's like they were engineered for this sole purpouse.

>>36813104
Nothing, actually. It's one of the few lucky types that don't bother much with feelings, it's so easy to stop caring about annoying shit and just forget about it. If anything we need to make an effort to actually feel anything, and most of the time we don't because it's just not worth the time.
So comfy.
>>
>>36813831
>Ne user
>bored, ever
yeah, no
>>
>>36818593
Yeah, when forced into a task that requires attention and thought, but isn't actually interesting, or complex.
>>
>>36813482
INTP

I like programming, archery, building things, philosophy, along with the usual suspects of Vidya and shit.
>>
>>36818593
So you think Ne-types are entertained by literally everything in the world?
>>
>>36813839
Simple, you have an INTJ feel bad for you and she will help you fix your life by giving you motivation to do so. She'll help structure your life and in return you'll help her chill the fuck out. Eventually you'll take your hobby and turn it into a successful business.

Which is what I did.
>>
>>36818616
>Simple, repetitive, mechanical tasks are literally yoga. I always volunteer for presumably "boring" chores because I get to think about whatever I want while doing them, it's so peaceful.

>>36818708
But they don't need anything, Ne is more than enough to keep entertained for a lifetime. I seriously can't understand how anyone can feel bored, especially if they possess Ne.
>>
>>36818730
Nigger, in what way do simple, repetitive mechanical tasks require your attention? You just explained how it's the contrary and we both know it's easy as fick to zone out while working.
>>
I'm INTP, and I've been dating an ENTJ for 2 years, so you could try that.
>>
>>36818772
>to zone out while working
Which means you're completely in control over your thoughts. It's your fault if you're bored then, all you have to do is think about something less boring. It's not rocket science.

>>36818838
Do you get along well ? How do you deal with her inferior Fi ? Isn't she a bit too controlling ? Does she love you or simply enjoys possessing you ? What happens when you need some time alone to be an annoying, unproductive introvert ?
>>

INTJ here, really into Dostoevsky, I've almost read all of his stuff. I think philosophy is kind of wanky so I've avoided most that I haven't been assigned in a classroom, but I'm down with the stoics, since I can intuitively relate with what their school is about.

I only like to talk about what I'm sure of and I'm only sure of is facts and my point of view. I don't like to speak for other people. I don't whether that's an INTP thing or whether I'm just narcissistic.
I'm accepting of most people simply because I don't care about them, I only care about goals and ideas they have. One of the best things in life is helping other people achieve these goals because I can never seem to find any goals of my own although imagining cool stuff is just as rewarding.
My body is more of a avatar than my actual self, it's easy to get lost daydreams not because they're so realistic but because it feels like I'm barely attached to the real world anyway.
I get as much enjoyment out of imagining doing things as doing them. I like to think about things even if that thinking provides nothing of worth.
