College is a waste of time and money. It won't make it any easier to get a job unless you study something very high tech and demanding. You won't have the "college experience" you see in movies because the part of college they cleverly leave out is all the hours you have to spend learning the material for exams and completing assignments. Go to vocational school and learn a profession. something where you can easily get employment with a contractor and/or get a utility truck, some supplies and start your own business.

Socializing is not all its cracked up to be, its fine to do if it comes naturally, but you should never feel sad or ashamed that you're alone. As you get older, you will feel more comfortable with the idea of being alone, and also less self conscious around other people and paranoid that they're judging you

Its fine to be a virgin, in fact its the only way to 100% avoid pregnancy scares and STDs. Be comfortable with just talking to women without expecting it to lead anywhere, be able to just bask in her feminine energy and enjoy the moment rather than see her as something to be conquered. If you get into a relationship, just know that women never really belong to you, and they don't feel love and physical attraction in the same way you do. Don't overanalyze social interactions, how people react to you is often more about them than it is about you.

I would change a lot in my teen years, and less in my early 20's, but I would make changes in both.

In my teen years, I hung out with stupid people and did not apply myself academically. Later on I did and I excelled in a math-heavy field. I could have done that earlier.

I wouldn't have changed much in my early twenties except I should have been more outgoing with people, spent less time doing mindless crap on the computer, and more time exploring the real world.

In both age ranges I shouldn't have been so cautious/timid with women. I'm approaching wizardry and looking back there were about 5-10 or so good opportunities that presented themselves which I blew off. When I was a teenager I did so because I was fearful and when I was older I did so because I was bitter. Some of them I sabotaged through pure ineptness. I don't blame myself for those but I do for the times I was basically using my emotions to justify being a coward or a pompous ass.

Looking back I can say I did the best I could at the time, most of the time, and that's why I'm not full of regrets about the long-term past. Everyone wishes they were perfect and they want to blow off the real difficulties they were dealing at the time. I'm mostly at peace with my past.

I thought I had everything figured out at 20 (a fairly complete and finalized "world view") but spent the next several years realizing how little I knew and basically adopting views that a few years ago I would have thought were wrong. In general you get more conservative with age.

I dressed like ghetto trash in my teenage years and kind of regret that -- and kind of don't.

This I can totally relate too. I'm a sperg with ADHD, and I grew up in a poor and neglectful household.

I had dreams to have a successful career, to afford all the things I wanted but could never have. Realising I can't was depressing at first, but it's liberating once you get used to it.

Be realistic with your goals.

16-24 actually is the peak time of your life physically. its all downhill from there
