This goes for most "omg so quirky" subcultures. Actual smart girls tend to be rather unassuming and too deeply invested in their interests to bother with cultivating some sort of image. I know quite a few high IQ girls, some of them could easily be stacies look-wise, and most are actually very nice and normal people.
