I scream at random. I also randomly and uncontrollably say "shut up" for 10-30 seconds at a time. Sometimes it happens in public and if I manage to catch it in time, I start tapping something, usually my leg or arm, really fast and hard until the episode has passed. I've never spoken to a professional about this and have never been diagnosed with a mental illness. I did have a traumatic childhood though, like most of this board.
