I'm 99% sure I have Schizoid Personality Disorder and Avoidant

Some more information on me: I'm 30, HHKV, shut-in, never had the desire to socialise, don't like people, don't care about people etc.

Not OP, but I also suspect that I have Schizoid PD. All I want is closure as to why I am the way I am. If I can have a reason backed by research, then I'll be more content with my existence.

You're on the right track, you're not going to get an outright diagnosis immediately after the blood work and everything, but after a few sessions the psych should be able to help.

I just went to a psychologist and paid out of pocket. Had me take two different multiple choice personality inventory things and, after analyzing the results, diagnosed me as AvPD with schizoid features.
When I went to my insurance's psych department they had me see a social worker who knew fuck all about personality disorders and just wrote me a script for an SSRI.

I once went to a psych for closure and was diagnosed with SPD. I didn't know what this was and for a time it was pretty liberating having a name for my experience.
in the end I dont think it improved my quality of life much tho.

Getting a diagnose and having a mental health history on record is required if you ever get to a point where you need to apply for disability payments.

Think I am also genuinely schizoid and went in to get diagnosed (mainly for neet dollarydoos) and the doc just seemed to push me towards anxiety and gave me anti-anxiety meds.

Though that was like 15 years ago.
I have made no new friends since and lost all the former friends. But I force myself to work and transport.
It's a torturous life but I've made it this far without neet bucks.

Many of them are hesitant to diagnose it because it doesn't solve any issues, and by its own definition is incurable.

Talking to my psychiatrist she was saying that in the some circles of doctors they are actually pushing to remove personality disorders on the whole for the next DSM.

Also, you got diagnosed 15 years ago, the system has changed a lot since then. It's rare that SPD leads to mental ward tier needs, you must have some other issues that made you get there. SPD tends to make people extremely avoidant of any drama or shit going on like that.

Something like a personality disorder isn't such a black and white thing. You dont just automatically have one because you registered a certain score on a test.

A good doctor wouldn't give such an encompassing diagnoses after barely monitoring a patient or going off a questionnaire.

Well I was trying to open a dimensional nexus in a abandoned building and let the demons into the world but my plans were stopped.
I don't know man.
They kept me in there for awhile then released me with some pretty light things.
I wasn't 100% honest with them and didn't tell them about the demons of course.

are you me op. from what I've read its due to having constant negative experiences communicating with family members and people throughout childhood.

My family kept moving before I could make friends at school so I was always that kid who was different. Every time I would meet with people it would be awkward alienating experience.

My mom was always stressed out and never really listened to what I said so that made it worse.
