it just happens by coincidence, really. a first language is either learn at a certain age, or it will not be learnt (this was proven by feral children like Genie). I think that this applies to things like social skills, or just applying empathy to others.

So basically, if you don't learn it quick as a child you are likely fucked

We are good at it because we are used to it. We don't spend massive amounts of time alone on the computer or playing games. I am around friends, co-workers, customers, women all day. You can't sit at home alone all day wallowing in misery and avoiding life through video games then expect to leave the house and be a social butterfly.
