If you've never had one it's definitely worth it so you can know what it's like. Aiming for constant lucid dreams isn't worth it imo. 1 or 2 was enough for me
Keep a dream journal to start off. It will also increase length and amount of regular dreams.

I didn't invoke it myself, I just came to be aware I was lucid dreaming during it when I realized I had the option of waking up or continuing, and I chose to continue because I really wanted to see the face of my rapist
