I love riding the bus. It is cheaper than gas, you can meet people, and it is nice to never be worried about a car falling apart.

Honestly, having a car would be better, but what use is there in being upset over something you can't change right now?

Here, and shits sucks. 90% of the times its a fucking sardine can, started to to go out 30 min early just to be able to skip the worst ones.

Also cute girls but all you might get is a smile at best, not even sure if that makes it better or worse.

You pay the driver when you go in, most bus's will probably have a day ticket of some kind you can buy. If not, tell them your destination and ask how much it will cost. You will probably need exact change.
