How many of you faggots have advanced degrees in mathematics? I am thinking of getting a PhD but I can't stand the normals at the math department.
Also point counting on moduli spaces sound kind of gay.

Not liking the people there is a stupid reason not to get your degree.

Surely you can't be serious...
Judy knowledge to get a PhD in science, although turbo machinery doesn't sound gay
>thinking of getting a phd in math
don't. you aren't cut out for it if you are thinking.
t. maths phd specializing in combinatorics

did you have 300k starting?

I have a PhD in discrete geometry. If you can't "stand the normals" then fuck off and go back to your mother's basement, honestly.

I also specialized in combinatorics. I think the notion that large swaths of people are 'not cut out' for it is silly, although certainly it would take some people more effort than others.

Not him but it didn't do anything for me financially because I didn't study any applied math. I thought I wanted to be a professor but I changed my tune when I realized I didn't enjoy doing research (although I loved teaching). Luckily I had a CS bachelor's degree and some internships programming so I got a job as a software developer and am making 100k now. But again, the PhD made little difference there.
