I need an mmo to play robots. Why do they all seem to suck?

I mean no MMO is going to be fun alone, and any MMO (or any game for that matter) is going to be a blast if you're playing with a group of other people.

Wow and Maplestory are terrible now. Personally, I play on a oldschool RS private server, doing 3 way hybridding fights. Extremely competitive and high skill cap.

I still play Toontown Rewritten occasionally. I probably put over 3000 hours into the game in the span of 3 years, but I don't find it that fun anymore for some reason.

Maplestory isn't terrible, it is just Nexon killed the community. The social aspect of the game was so much fun for a robot like me. I created my own guild, we even exchanged numbers. The exp grind was so boring, we would just do party quests and jump quests. Why fucking nexon killed Henesys Hunting Ground 1, and the Henesys Haystacks is something I will never forgive that was the last straw for when I quit initially. Didn't help that we were all growing older and people started playing other game slike Cod, or moved on to other MMos. I fucking loved Maplestory man, I'm tearing up just typing this. So many good memories from that fucking game. 8th grade all I would talk about is maplestory(was only allowed to play on weekends so I would just dream about the shit I would do on the weekend) I got pretty much all of my class to at least try the game once. I didn't give a fuck how "nerdy" it made me look. I fucking loved playing that game.

Now Maplestory is a grindfest, with a shit community, but still much better than other MMos I tried. No other games have made me feel the way Maplestory and Runescape did.

For me, it's Wizard101.

All MMOs are shit because they all try to copy wow and wow is shit. the genre is designed from the ground up to take as much money from you as possible and nothing more. FFXIV is by far the best MMO out right now but it's still not very good

I play ff14, taking a bit of a break though since I'm mostly all caught up and the next expansion isn't coming until june

The trial is unlimited but caps are lvl 35 and theres a bunch of chat restrictions
Also a big draw is you can switch classes at almost any time that's not in the middle of combat or a dungeon so on a trial you can try out everything but dark knight, mechanistic, and astrologian

I can't recommend any of these. I had the most fun with FFXIV, but the grind at the end will make you quit eventually. I quit before Heavensward came out, so I'm way behind on that game now.

wrath of the lich king is still fun

I've never played an MMO before and I enjoy FF14/FFXIV. I haven't played any Final Fantasy games either. It's pretty nifty, but I've gotten the idea that I picked a fun class (Arcanist, neither a straight support or DPS character but can be played both ways) to start with. It's pretty fun, they let you play for free until level 35 (still haven't hit the cap).

If you enjoyed Skyrim, but don't care about the lore, I'd recommend Elder Scrolls Online.

Hell, I DO care about the lore, and ESO shits all over it, and I still enjoy the game.

Old School RuneScape. It's pretty much the only MMO that isn't dying; it's even livelier than its modern sister. It's like a private server except with a paid professional development team that takes feedback from the community instead of one guy coding some gay ass linear dungeon. I love it. You can stay F2P but membership is ridiculously cheap (less than Netflix) and is boundless fun.

The only MMO I ever truly played was Wizard101. It was actually surprisingly good. The paywalls were retarded tho.

I ran out of mmos to play. So I started playing real life instead. It's a good mmo. Very challenging and dynamic. You never run out of content.

I know that feel, I played Elsword but it was basically the same game. I also knew some girls playing it and I keep contact with one of them and we see each other in real life frequently.
