>tfw neet for so long it caused brain damage
W-wait, brain damage? Did you get in an accident or is it because of the NEETness?

Being alone for too long causes brain damage.
The neetness is a braindamage itself
>>36652761
Well yeah, if you don't do basic skills that often they disappear. Like simple math or spelling.

I was already brain damaged before becoming a full fledged NEET though
>>36652897
>tfw socially isolated my entire life
Fuck no wonder I slur my words, studder and mispronounce shit.
>>36651590
>did well in school until 12th grade
>literally all A's without any effort, almost near perfect in reading and writing in SAT, no studying
>become neet loser, take 3 years to finish high school using their online alternative for retards
>do jack shit in my room for 3 years
>enter university finally, take basic 101 courses
>cant remember shit, takes long as fuck to learn anything
just fml senpai
>>36652993
Hmmmm, I have that too but am not a NEET. Would explain a lot.
iktfb.
stress, depression, anxiety, loneliness all contributed to me being semi retarded
>>36651590
>tfw NEET so long you've transcended mortal needs
>>36652993
>studder
You're too far gone, friend. You can't even spell anymore.
>>36653001
>become neet loser, take 3 years to finish high school using their online alternative for retards
>do jack shit in my room for 3 years
this has been me for the past two years
>>36651590
>tfw can barely remember fucking anything, long or short term
>parents or friends ask "remember when we did x?" and have to say no, not at all
If I'd known excessive isolation and depression did this I would've worked on fixing them sooner
>>36651590
>Implying there was a time you didn't have brain damage.

Former NEET here, I'd say brain damage is an exaggeration... While I still have trouble communicating with people now it's more a consequence of the strange life I have lived and a lack of practice talking to others on my part.
I spent a year as a NEET, more without any real life friends. Also fought depression for many years on and off, which is known for being very bad for the brain long term. From personal experience I'd definitely say that in my transition from NEEThood to something more sane that I had to relearn a lot of social skills. But my intelligence and my quickness for skill acquisition never felt impaired even once. Should there have been some kind of cognitive loss I suppose I regained it when I was finally faced with challenges.
I would honestly say that the only time I ever felt brain damaged in my life was post-concussion. It made me realize how fragile existence is and it was a real motivator in taking better care of myself.
for me it was the booze, heavy drinking combined withb12 deficiency from being veganpretty much legitimately cost me about 15-20 iq points. i think i went from a 130 to a 110 at best, both tests were legitimate but the second guy put too much emphasis on my shitty short term memory
