I have the opportunity to study abroad in Japan next summer. Is it just a meme, or should I go with it.

It might be a great experience that will change your life
It might be an ok experience you can put on your resume at the very least, maybe make some friends
It might be a shitty waste of time where you are sad and alone for months
you can't know unless you go
I recommend going
Make sure you are at least N5 ish before you get there
It doesn't take too long to get to N5
What university is the study abroad program through? Is it related to your major and what is your major? Can you talk to people who went previously?
smog
foreign language
those dont like americans or euros
cant read or speak to anybody outside your class thing

By the time I would go, I will have had 2 1/2 ish years of formal classes (my uni's program is actually really good) and over 5 failed informal self-teaching attempts. I feel I would be N4 maybe 3 by then. I might end up double majoring in Nipspeak with Bio (there's no minor option at my uni)
