I used to ride my bike at night back when i was in the city. It wasn't a big city, just a middle sized french city so it was pretty safe and quiet. I would usually just go close to the river, lie down and listen to music while drinking beer. I was unemployed and living in my own flat spending all of my days alone so it was the highlight of my day. Now i live far away in the countryside, in a small village, lights are usually off at 10pm so there's no point in doing it anymore. I'm not as lonely, i have my family close to me now, i was pretty isolated in the city.
Whenever an album i used to listen to back then comes up, i get intense feels of nostalgia and melancholy. I was discovering most genres i listen to right now so it's a special feeling. Two most notable albums are Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People and Slint - Spiderland.
