>they will usually insist that we play Mario Kart since "I love Mario Kart, I used to play it as a kid!"

>play one race
>"Anon this is too hard I don't want to play anymore."
Literally every time. So now I have to take whatever Console I had to set up in the living room and take it back to my room.

I'm not even great at Mario Kart, I put it on 100cc and let them choose the Track, usually put CPUs off, then they play one race and quit.
