You're trying to do full blown plans when you need to find ways to make your haphazard shit less haphazard gradually.
Lets say you usually just dive in. Day 1. Dive in + set a minor goal of having at least read a bit on grammar. Day 5 same as day one but set a new minor goal of beginning syntax etc. you're just training your brain towards the idea of goals and minor organization. This makes the actual step towards planning a session easier as its not a sharp right angle bend from the norm but a gentle curve into it.

My example was extreme, but it doesn't work on the small scale either. I lose my enthusiasm and learn less because I'm focusing on progressing in a linear and particular way. I tried to do RTK like that and burned out. Later I just said fuck it and downloaded an all-in-one kanji deck and started to collect lots of information from different grammar sources without thinking about it instead of a linear path through one textbook. No more gradual loss of motivation, no more when, why or how, just lots and lots of Japanese study. In addition to that I started challenging myself to read untranslated VNs regularly with jisho open and watch anime without subs when I felt like doing those things. If I saw a cute comic on twitter or pixiv, I wouldn't think 'Oh, it's too high level', I'd jsut use it as a random study session. My Japanese progressed way faster and I actually felt accomplishment.

I have a pretty natural sense of structure in essays so it's hard to explain easily, but make sure to keep the question in mind when you research. Research effectively by using indices and not just trawling through irrelevant stuff. As for writing the thing, I usually started not with introductions but with the main body of the essay. Define the different points that support your answer to the question and only include information in each paragraph that directly relates to that, going deep rather than broad. Finally, write an introduction and a conclusion that respectively guide the reader into and summarise your overall argument. The important thing is to be lucid and precise.

I would suggest forming a plan, but you won't always have an opportunity to do that and it's pretty boring to do.
Instead, I would mentally form a structure and make sure all the information you label is relevant and worthwhile writing. Don't go on paragraph long tangents about topics irrelevant to your essay, for example.

If you are given a specific question to answer you must keep that question in mind. If you are given a prompt then I think the key will be to construct a good thesis. When writing scientific or technical papers/reports, especially ones that center around experimentally gathered data, you will do a lot of simply presenting your information. That kind of writing is concerned with exhaustively describing your method of experimentation so others can repeat and then presenting each piece of data that you gathered. You form conclusions at the end based on the data you gathered in experimentation and the computations you do with that data rather than beginning with a point of view and using selectively chosen sources to back it up as you would in a rhetorical piece.

In short, writing a good paper depends first and foremost on what kind of writing you are doing. One of the most important things you can learn for non-scientific writing is how to construct a good thesis, so start there.

My usual advice (I give private lessons, and am very good at it) is to mind that everything you mention further consolidates your point. Think of your point as a building, and everything inside your essay as either a pillar, a wall, etc.
I always write my essays (or emails, or long post when debating) by just listing random ideas and arguments that support my point, like so:

POINT

IDEA 1: POINT is true because IDEA1
- argument1: here is why IDEA1 is true
-- example1a: someone famous talked about arg1
-- example1b: if you look at this particular historical event, you could deduce that arg1
-arg2: another reason why IDEA1 is true
-- example2a
-- example2b

repeat with IDEA 2 and 3, maybe even more. Depending on how many you need.
In the conclusion, only mention IDEAS and no arguments. Just say that IDEAS were proved by the arguments you presented, without actually developing said arguments (because you already did it further up).
And here's another tip: I generally write my introduction and my conclusion before all else; because that would already set what I'm about to say. What goes in between those 2 is just the development of the ideas I've already chosen; of course, if I think of something that I should add I'd adjust my conclusion. But start with the conclusion in mind, like say "POINT is true because IDEA1, IDEA2 and IDEA3" then go about proving IDEAS with arguments. This way, all you could say can prove your point.
It doesn't hurt to mention a couple interesting facts that don't directly serve your argumentation; but it's still good because if it's a sign you know what you're talking about, then it works in favour of the point you're trying to make. Just go easy on it, and only do it when you're sure to impress the reader.

From the video I think I'm closer to Si than Se. Thinking about how I carry myself, I tend to switch between thoughtful and silent and loud and gregarious depending on whether I'm alone or not. That being said, I'm awful at sharing my feelings, Every time I've been to therapy (barring my last one), the therapist always say that I seem as if my problems aren't very significant, even if I was literally on the brink of suicide less than hour ago. I think this is because I'm very good at barring out my own emotions.

I don't feel as if I have values, and I think this is because the idea of a value has always seemed very arbitrary and pointless to me.

I've gone months with zero human contact, and have not been bothered in the slightest, but despite that, I have no problem talking to people or having people talk to me. In fact, a lot of people describe me as being extroverted.

I guess, feelings feel like external tools for me. Not something I have a lot of, but something I can understand and sense well.

So I can kind of relate to that post.

There were a lot of norms my mom simply disagreed with and didn't bother forcing on other people. Only ideas that were part of hyper specialised worldview were forced.

INFP here again. After another long day at work I'm beat up and have to go back to do it all over again in the morning. My feet hurt and I'm mentally drained. My job required me to face my greatest fear today though. Approaching people. Some of them were pretty girls. When their faces lit up with a smile when I did that it was intoxicating. But yeah that's an unnecessary skill at this point since I already have a gf. That's just how I think. I hate myself. I hate how secure I feel in the same old shit.
