Has loneliness and depression become a meme? If so, why?

what do you mean "has it become a meme"? a meme normally means something that's not as good as it's hyped up to be when used in this context, for example "are swiffers a meme?, yes they are just shitty mops"
So what do you mean about depression being a meme? you mean it isn't real? what is the question here?

Because people, or so it seems, are starting to be more open about mental illnesses.

he means has it become more common than before and more widely used by normal people as a term to describe general sadness instead of legitimate clinical depression
same with loneliness, normalfags complain about it when they have almost constant interaction with ppl they know on facebook while i havent spoken to another person in 2 months

It's just become another fashion accessory for normies. Vanity has pretty much led us down this path but also psychologists who can't deal with patients and only care about money so they go "Yeah, you've got autism now fuck off so I can get my payment".

It's gotten really trendy for people to have "anxiety" or "depression". It's basically a branch of the special snowflake complex that so many young people seem to have. Either that or people who have never experienced true hardship take the slightest discomfort as some kind of illness.
