It's relative. To a child a teenager is old, to someone in their 20s a teenager is young. But probably somewhere in the mid 20s year like >>36629824 said, but even then to a 50 year old a 25 year old is young.

In the modern age the answer is 30. If you are in your 20s you are young no matter how you slice it.

18-21: Child

25-28: Young but actually an adult

Health has more to do with it than age. A healthy 37 year old can still be young. Even a 40 year if they're in they're in great shape.

Some guys are fat, in terrible health, and their joints have locked up by the age of 30. Those guys are now "old". It's reversible with effort, but most never do it.

It depends on the age of the person making the judgement. 40 is young to someone who is 80. 20 is old to someone who is 10. It's all perspective
