In the Netherlands it's even worst. You must join a club (which of course costs money) and show intent to practice the sport. Then you have to take mandatory training and wait up to a year, have a mental check and what not. Then you are allowed to purchase one gun. Of course you can only use it as a licensed range and I'm not even sure if you are allowed to take it home.

In europe you are forced to pay for the government run healthcare (you get jailtime if you avoid it somehow), so it has no competition and therefore doesn't give two shits about your satisfaction. Why would they provide quality healthcare for your hard earned money, when you have no choice but pay for it either way?
