I've had my 2nd cat for 9 years now and shes absolutely in perfect health, natural foods, vet checkups and litterboxes. and peace of mind for me since I know no angry fucker will kill her for no reason.

There's no such thing as an outdoor cat. Cats are territorial and a house is big/comfortable enough for them to exercise. "Outside" cats are a fucking nuisance and invasive. They kill all the birds and shit and piss everywhere.

My neighborhood was overrun by these things because he hooked up with an actual feral cat and they made a bunch of babies that dug up people's flowers, killed all the birds, and tore open trash bags.

After that I just became very paranoid.
I read the labels to all cat food and talk to vets about any diet changes, I don't let her eat anything unless I can see what it is. I don't let her outside unless I'm outside too.

If I do yardwork, then she can roam around the front and backyard. Usually she just kinda rolls around on the ground though or sniffs around the grass before getting bored and just sitting next to me again anyway.

It's possible to have a fun life with your indoors cat. You just play with them often, talk to them. Get those big tall scratching post things, they love them. Give them things to chase around the house. Open windowsills so they can look outside and nap in the sunlight

Unfortunately there are just too many situations a cat can die outside. Coyote's, stray dogs, cars, future serial murderers who start by killing peoples pets first, angry neighbors-it goes on
