This is a horrible example. Alexis Ren isn't just dieting and hitting the gym, she is literally bulimic/anorexic. This is her only 2 years ago. I focus on school, so I sit on my ass all day and study. To make that OK though I just barely eat, so I at least won't be eating more than the calories I'm burning through regular daily activity. I eat around 800 calories a day, sometimes 400.

Slowly make your portion sizes smaller, eat more meals per day, if you get grumpy or hungry have some yogurt or fruit.
If you still feel tired/cranky about 20 minutes after a healthy snack, you're not actually hungry probably just bored. In those situations I usually just fap.

Now that that's out of the way, what you're saying is that you need a new mindset. I'm currently following ray cronise's diet plan and while I'm pretty much certain half of it is pseudoscience, the rules that tell me EXACTLY what to do really helped to put the temptations to give in to my cravings every few hours away, compared to calorie counting.
