Come in fellow WFH robots, share your job, experience, perks, etc.
I finally did it robots! I turned my retail job into a Mobil position with a work from home option. There was a lot of "being at the right place at the right time with the right resume" going on but I'm the happiest.
>get work laptop
>get remote access key fob
>work blackberry
>corporate credit card
>any traveling beyond 5 miles is expended at 60cents/mile
There's a certain expectation that I show up in the stores that I cover (nine stores total), however the main focus is that I make phone calls and close deals, for which 90% of the work can be done over the phone.
No more waking up at 6am to shower and get to work on time, now I can just wake up at 8am, make my calls in underwear until 10am, shower, do fuck all, visit stores whenever I want, and I get to claim 40/h weeks even for work done remotely at 22.5/h.
Living the dream.

I get paid about the same for remote IT support work. It's maximum comfy
>Work laptop and iphone with unlimited data
>Never have to report anywhere
>Sometimes have to call in to meetings, but exempt from most because I am a home employee.
>Full benefits
>Only do about 2 hours of work a day. Weekends off. Can choose my hours for the day as long as it's 8 hours.
Best introvert job ever.

how'd you go about getting such a comfy job? what does your resume need?

I worked years as regular support at a medium sized company. Eventually I had to move away for family reasons and they asked if I could stay on but work from home.
I admit there was a lot of luck involved.
Welcome to the work from home master race, it's one of the best inventions Western civilization has ever had. It's great not having to commute, deal with normies face to face or leave my apartment. My typical work from home day:
>roll out of bed at 10 (I'm supposed to work 8-5 but I do 10-7, never actually work until 7 but manager doesn't give a fuck because I'm very productive)
>turn on work laptop (I have it set up in a home office area with a few monitors)
>get cereal or toast, eat at desk while going through email and assignments
>start working
>turn on music, TV or Netflix, keep something going while working
>finish everything by 2 or 3 at the latest (sometimes I'm done by noon, if I'm really lucky I am done after only 45 minutes or an hour)
>keep my work laptop on and next to me until 7 so I can respond to urgent emails but once I'm done with everything I just fuck around for the rest of the day - vidya, 4chan, TV, read books etc
Feels fucking good, fvm

how would one get into this career desu?
like what education, job skills, essentially what is your resume?

I got really lucky. Right place right time (no nepotism though). I have a degree and my company only hires college grads. I had no relevant experience when I was hired.

fair enough whats your job title exactly and what do you do on a day to day basis (brief synopsis is fine)
