What's your WPM at?
http://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/?lang=en
average 95-100wpm on typeracer
Right now, drunk on a phone, it's 10-20wpm. Pic related. At a keyboard (which happens a few times a year), I'm down to about 50wpm from my college speed of 120wpm.
>had to take a 10-key course in college
>have never used a 10-key since
Worst credit hour of my life next to the SJW hybrid civics course we all had to take.
Give it to me straight doc
How shitty did i do?
I got 85wpm, I'm not terribly fast but it's still fast compared to normies.
~69wpm according to your website
>>36504059
216 CPM (that is 43 WPM)
43 words per minute. I was using only my thumbs and a tiny phone screen though.
>tfw mobile poster
im a god
>>36504434
Better than me, I got 60 wpm
actual question:
i obviously rank higher than most normies on this sort of thing, as i imagine most of us do
do i have to get some kind of official test if i want to include this on my resume?
data entry jobs sometimes ask for your WPM
>inb4 lie
i'm under the impression professional typists pay money for a certificate of this sort of thing
can i just take an online test and use my result there as my WPM and report it to potential employers as such? or do i need to shell out the shekels and take some kind of standardized test?
>>36504502
>tfw would've hit 300 words per min if I had access to 14 fingers
>>36504059
107
I'm a software engineer, though. I've been typing almost as long as I could talk.
I've been average 95-105 wpm since I was like 16 and im 25 now.
I don't type properly so it probably road blocked natural progression of speed.
>>36504521
There is no official certification for typing fast.
Data entry jobs are entry level jobs, just put on your resume you're an excellent typist.
>>36504521
Usually for clerical/archival work they just give you a test during the interview. They'll usually have a minimum pace, like 50wpm with 90% accuracy to get hired, but some will base your pay rate on your wpm, so instead of $9/hr to start you'll get $10.50/hr for 100wpm+
>>36504059
Could have gone faster but I fucked up at the beginning
>>36504059
90 wpm on first try, think i could go more but i'm kinda tired and i don't think i'd climb over 100.
though i'm not doing any real practice, i just type
I average around 110 wpm, but I've hit 145 on those tests before.
>>36504762
post what you get then on the test faggot
>>36504059
Who /grew up playing MUDs/ here?
>>36504726
Still fucked up and could have gone faster.
>>36504825
I did. Achaea and DartMUD.
40 wpm and that was me doing it as fast as i can
I'm14and type with 2 fingers, you nibbas need to step up
>recent scores
>often 50-70 wpm
>some even under 40
How?
Normies are so pathetic
Even my casual lazy typing is 80 wpm
>>36504552
I'm a software engineer too but I usually hit like 125-135
>>36504856
Darkness Falls for me. Mirin dat WPM!
>>36504999
Cool. I wish MUDs were still played nowadays. They were pretty fucking dope. I haven't booted zMUD in years
I know a black bitch with a history degree who works for the government "writing reports" all day. "Report writing" is literally 1 out of like 3 skills on her LinkedIn. Meanwhile, I work manual labor because I couldn't find anything else
her nails are close to this. this is almost literally her, not joking
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymCoiZS0HLA
she's 26 and gets paid $22/hour (taxpayer money). And people wonder why the country's going to shit
don't even get me started on the fucking DMV, i literally rage IRL
Anything sub-500 indicates you're a filthy normie. True robots who have spent years alone on the computer because no gf/no friends have had the time to develop keyboard proficiency.
around 100. i can push it to 120 but then i start making too many mistakes
>>36504943
Make a video of you typing on your keyboard. I want to see somebody typing that fast with two fingers just because it would be funny.
119 wpm
literally all I do is sit on my laptop 24/7 so this isn't really surprising
85 wpm
not bad if i do say so myself
>>36504059
I'm pretty disappointed. I can break 125 WPM when I really try.
>>36506094
If it's not 100% accurate then it doesn't count m80
>>36504059
I always seem to do better on these things when I don't give a crap. When I get into it my fingers get all twitchy and my speed goes down to 90wpm.
>being a typelet
>31
jesus I had no idea I was this bad
to be fair, I'd be faster if I wasn't using a laptop
