I got a weird one.

My dads side of the family is full on crazy italians. Like blood war between my great great grandparents over a "You talkin' to me?" situation. My biological grandfather abused my dad and fucked off to washington to open a pizza shop when my dad was 16. Great grandma and my dad are the only ones alive from that side as far as I know.

Moms side was pretty tame. Grandpa moved to america from spain when he was young (1945 or so). Grandma on my moms side was the product of an american mutt and an irishman, it didn't really carry over.

I got my dads hair and eyes except I have fuckin tumblr syndrome. I have the less interesting kind of heterochromia where my eyes are mainly green but I have a thin ring of yellowish-brown in the middle of my irises.

I know nothing about my great grandparents.
But I'll type out what I know.

Mother's side:
Her mother was born in Bonn (Germany), her father in Brunssum (Netherlands).
He fought in the war on the german side, was a POW in Russia. After they were discriminated against for most of their lives because he dared to marry a German woman.
After hate subsided he started a mechanic business.
My mother holds both the german and dutch nationalities. My grandmother died of a leukemia rwlates heart attack, grandfather died in the hospital.

Father's side:
His mom lost her dad in the war, was raised by a shitty mother who I knew for a while when I was little and an abusive stepdad. His father worked in the mines for a while, delivered bread after. They were both taking advantage of the lax disability laws real soon, you could get full disability back then with stuff that would get you laughed out of a doctor's office now. One of the reasons our economy is fucked. I don't know exactly how it is but there's german blood on this side too, as it is with most people in this region. My grandfather on this side died when I was 7 due to cancer, grandmother died when I was 28 due to heart failure.

They're all white, although there's probably some slavic blood from my mom's side. Dad's side is trve nord.

I don't know much, because I never met any of my grandparents, but from what I know, he won one of the highest rewards in France, called Legion d'honneur. From what I know, his regiment got it after fighting in Verdun. Currently, my aunt has it, but I've never seen it.
I would have liked to see my grandfather and ask him many questions, but he died way before I was born.

Mom's Side:

Grandmother's Parents:
Don't know anything except they had 9 kids and my grandmother was the middle child

Grandfather's Parents:
His dad's dad was the "village fool" because he was super tall according to my mom, hung himself and my grandfather's dad was married to some girl who was like 16 (he was like 13 though). Grandfather's mom was really sweet according to my mother, but his dad was abusive to her.

Grandmother:
Was always very obsessed with appearances and how people percieved her. Wanted that perfect picket fence life, had two children with my grandfather. Grandfather eventually divorced her and dated someone (and later had a child with) who my mom was actually in highschool with at the time (yes, she was underage). My grandmother apparently burned my parent's marriage license because my dad wasnt greek according to my dad (my mom denies this.). My grandmother has something mentally wrong with her but refuses help. Refuses to bathe, binge eats when everyone is asleep, lays on couch all day not moving (sleeps there too), constantly taking allergy medication and laxatives because she refuses to go to doctor to find out what's actually wrong with her. Mentally abusive and manipulative.

Grandfather:
Was abusive towards my mother, mentally and physically. Moved to Canada from Greece then moved to America with my mother and grandmother, later had a son with my grandmother who was the golden child. Died of cancer before i was born.

Mother:
Feels sense of duty towards her parents despite blaming them for multiple things in her life. Moved down to Florida with me immediately after my paternal grandfather's death, leaving my father behind, when I was in first grade. Mentally abusive and manipulative towards me my entire life, has always lied to me and I think shes a narcissistic parent. She's never given me freedom or approved of my actions. Has tried to live through me and use me as a weapon towards my dad.

Served in the navy in WW2, was kind of physically abusive towards his kids i heard once? He came from a time period where it was acceptable. He was one of the only people in my family who wasnt fucked up, and i spent every day with him until he died when i was young (like 1st grade). He was what held my family together. My mom didnt let me go to his funeral and i still resent her to this day because of it.

Father:
From small hick town in northern IL. Youngest of 4 kids, had 3 kids himself all with different women. Has never owned his own place and can't hold down a job. He's a rightwing alcoholic who used to smoke pot. He eventually joined me and my mom in FL, but she kicked him out when his unemployment ran out. His and my mom's marriage was ruined largely in fault of my mom's mother. He did cheat on my mom though. I have a onesided love/hate relationship with him, he loves me no matter what i do and supports my decisions, even though he doesnt always agree with them. Whenever I would visit him he would give me pretty much all the freedom i deserved. He lives with his girlfriend who he fights with a lot but cant leave because he has no where to go.

I have trust issues, i lie, and manipulate people to get my way and always victimise myself. I know what i do hurts people but i keep doing it anyways. Got shit looks because of my parent's shit genetics giving me moles on my face and a small mouth and eyes. Fat because my mother and grandmother constantly force me to eat and tell me im starving myself and have an eating disorder when i dont. Mine is all English except for a Scots-Irish grandfather (planter family with a Scottish last name). I can only trace my roots back 4-5 generations for the most part though so I don't know what was before that without doing a Dna test.
