You rent a room for a couple weeks or a month from someone on craigslist while you get a job, then find something more permanent.

Though you could camp/sleep in car while you're looking for work if you don't have a few hundred $ the craigslist room.

I'm 27 and live with my mom.

I'm supposed to go to this 2 year rehab in Vancouver.

Mixed feels about this.

living with parents is pretty normal nowadays. Most of my friends all live with their parents. Its not bad but you should be working towards living on your own or with someone else.

I'm only still at home because my dad led me under the false premise that he was paying for my worthless degree. i have alittle under 10k in my bank account and it all has to go towards paying off my student loans. i dont see any reason to start paying rent until i make more money (currently 16/hr) or my debts are close to being paid off (32k).

I already had a pretty good youth so i can psychological and emotionally accept a few years of numbness, shame, and suffering untill i get out of these circumstances
