why not, what do you think is going to happen? Also you aren't running an executable and browsers are incredibly sandboxed these days. So you could just get a new browser and try it. Or you could get an actual sandbox or VM if you are that paranoid about it.

No, ignore him. He's fearmongering and is vastly exaggerating the levels of risk. If you have two separate browsers, they absolutely, definitively CANNOT interact with each other, period. You /might/ be able to get it to work if YOU programmed some weird ass program on your computer to try to do specifically that, but I doubt it'd be efficient, and it's really just an exercise in futility. Honestly, as long as you practice basic internet security and common sense, you'll be fine. I promise you that. Obviously don't go around downloading random programs lmao, but I promise you that this one is safe. And AGAIN, if you don't believe me, READ THE CODE FOR YOURSELF. A PROGRAM CANNOT DO ANYTHING EXCEPT EXACTLY WHAT ITS CODE INSTRUCTS IT TO DO. So that's basically the end all be all in that regard.
