>>36445328
Haven't seen those (or most of the ones I recommended), but at least heard about You're under arrest, and recognize Seraphim Call from a recommendation chart.

If we are talking OVAs, there's also Video Girl Ai, I found it pretty nice but haven't seen much praise for it, not that people dislike it either.
Excel Saga is somewhat relevant too

They're all obscure aside from YUA. Burn Up is in the same vein as YUA, Dominion Tank Police and (I think) Bubblegum Crisis. Sentimental Journey and Seraphim Call are companion works, they're omnibus series but the former is about romance and the latter is scifi. To Heart is a criminally underrated romance-type of show. People probably overlook it because they think it's some mediocre harem comedy.

I like action but I also like shows where the characters are strategical planners, smart.

But I like comedy too, especially the kind that uses the anime "thinking" style where they are stuck in a bad/embarrassing situation trying to think of a way out, thoroughly planning every detail like Sherlock Holmes, even though it's just an awkward social encounter or something...

Man I wish my English vocabulary was better so I could describe everything the way I think it.

All female cast anime tends to be too "girlish" and made for guys who fall in love with 2d girls.

Good anime with a female lead is something like: Ghost in the Shell

They are two different shows, man. Legend of the Galactic Heroes is Alexander the Great leading Space Germans in World War I fanfiction. Quite good, but it's clearly aiming for something mature and political. At least outside of the Church fanatics.

Code Geass is Lelouch's Bizarre Adventure in Gundam World. It's got occasional moments of political stuff, but the whole structure is more of a picaresque tale of mischief and youths fighting the system. Like Persona 5, I guess you could say.
>>
>>36447847
This. It's the occasional anime thread that has ruined /r9k/ (a board on an anime site), rather than the constant spam of race threads, gay/trap threads, fembot threads and wagecuck threads.

I also enjoyed the anime.
I'm not saying it's bad, just worse.

Wolf's Rain. I put off watching it for years because it seemed like a deviantart furries wet dream. I was surprised to discover that it's much more than that. Bones animation, Cowboy Bebop character designer and OST composer, post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting, wolf bro's being bro's and a great overall story that weaves it all together. The series can get fucking depressing at times but robots seem to find a strange comfort in that.

Also sexy halfwolf girl in pic related if my shilling didn't win you over.

yeah the ending feels like a setup for a second season with the three splitting off into their own lives yet still crossing paths occasionally and helping each other out

thats funny. exact opposite for me
watched it because i thought it looked cool, then dropped it afeter 8 episodes because i found it to be some deviant art furry shit

Weird how tastes work. I'd say keep going with it because it gets better but the show hooked me from the start so I don't know where to go from here. I value character interraction alot so that may have kept my interest throughout. The furry side of things also fades once the wolves take on their human forms 80% of the time, making the whole wolf form more of a metaphor for wanting freedom.

can i just say that the rebuild movies were a mistake and anno is a hack who gave up halfway to work on a fucking godzilla film just like how he gave up and killed gainax into bankruptcy?

I have had the second on my watchlist with hulu for some time it seems but never started watching it. I probably will either tonight or over the weekend.

Is there any anime more comfy than cowboy bebop?
>>

The only thing that comes close to Cowboy Bebop is Samurai Champloo, really.

Just go for Gurren Lagann or FLCL or something. It's a bit different than what you've watched but it's not something overly weeb.

There's only a few anime actually worth watching and funnily enough they're the less weeby ones, just don't go too deep.

Konosuba is comfy and hilarious
Youjo senki is an interesting watch

Welcome to the NHK, but only if you aren't older than 22-23, otherwise it will be only depressing to you

>good animus
Trigun, Slayers or Patlabor (OVA/TV) for classic action/comedy
Patlabor movie 2 - the best political thriller anime, not that there's much competition. You can watch the first movie too, it's a straight forward cop movie (with mecha). Third movie is OK too but worse than the first two.
Haibane Renmei - slice of life/drama, very comfy.
Monster - thriller, long, but worth watching.
Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo - action series with music as a background. If you like these two, you can watch Baccano! and Michiko & Hatchin too.
Black Lagoon - action in a more American style. The author of the original manga has a huge boner for femdom and it shows. Other similar series: Jormungand
Mushishi, Kino no Tabi - "main character wanders around and meets people and their circumstances" genre, whatever it's actually called. Other similar series: Natsume Yuujinchou
Banner/Crest of the Stars - subtle romance between two vastly different people. Also a space opera. Similar series: Spice & Wolf (comfy fantasy setting instead)

A few noteworthy titiles, the post is already too long:
Twelve Kingdoms (fantasy), Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (action, fantasy), Cross Game (sports/romance), Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (comedy), Ping Pong the Animation (sports), Katanagatari (action), Girls und Panzer (sports/cute girls doing cute things), Log Horizon (fantasy/isekai, second season is garbage though)
