a good amount of older posters have moved to other imageboards. it happens to a lot of boards that get popular and the culture fades as a result.

Actually I don't. I browsed 4chan from 2007 till around 2013 but never went on /r9k/, then I went to other imageboards. I just got back for around a year (this board became my home board last december or so) but if it's anything like what happened to the boards I used to visit, I share your pain, friend. things haven't exactly better anywhere.
