I don't know, I've bought literal $1 earbuds from the dollar store that cut out (one ear loses channels) in a month or two and $20-50 dollar brand name (lolSony) earbuds that also cut out in like 3 or 4 months

I use the HyperX Cloud 2 and it's pretty comfortable, mostly metal, and seems to be holding up fine after a year and a half of constant use. Mic quality isn't too bad either.

Bose headphones are top quality. Better than all of those overpriced pieces of shit.

Here's a solution to your issue OP
Buy a cheap external mic (Like the one I highlighted in orange) and some earbuds (Whatever quality you like)
plug those earbuds into your external speaker.
You're now ready to game or get on discord or whatever. If you leave the earbuds in the speakers they will last a year+ and are cheaper to replace than a headset
Mic has had no issues - its still going for years.
Added bonus: No more weight & pressure from those fucking headsets!

The Philips have great response all around. The bass response is good, can hum pretty low, and delivers good punch if listening to more kicking bass. Most earbuds will deliver on bass, but they are generally muddy and fuck up all the mids and highs. These are clear all around.

I unironically wouldnt recommend anything else unless you are putting money towards actual cans or expensive as fuck IEMs. a lot of the "cheap" and even midrange buds ive tried are all "Durr great bass" because they are advertising to niggers with shitty music taste where the actual music doesnt matter as long as they can vibrate the windows on their shitty low riders.
