It's always an experience when you first realise someone's an ENTP because, for me as an ENFP, it usually happens when a casual conversation about nothing that you could have with any sensor suddenly takes on a deeper subject matter and we're both firing off our ideas at one another. My mistake though I should have been more clear. I'm talking about switching about personality types, not personalities. Of course you utilize different mechanisms (strings of word patterns is what it really is) talking to different people.

What I'm talking about is a more conscious and larger change, where you by noticing patterns in language can actually change your own thought patterns and therefore assume another personality type.

From what I know no one has ever done this, but I feel it should be possible in theory.

Learning different languages and doing high doses of psychedelics would probably be a must to understand what I'm trying to say.

But to master it you without a doubt have to learn persuasion too.
Don't know if it would be mechanically possible though with our biology, maybe we have to upgrade another form first.

Concisely speaking, my solution (in hindsight) was very counter-intuitive. Everything went better after I actually got out to talk to people and to work hard (I advice physics or similar as it's conceptually Ni friendly, as far as I can tell), because in that case, I appreciate my natural preferred state of being (on my own in my dorm or on drugs elsewhere) more.

Throughout the day, I long to the moments where I'm just on my room (like now) a lot, but I can't enjoy these moments that much if I forget why I enjoy being here at all. Plus going outside creates (some) appreciatable moments.

But yeah the things you mention are bad but theyre funny too in some sense.

I disagree with you though, this isn't about ''16 personality types'' - its about the cognitive function that you use as your primary function for interacting with the world (jungs cognitive function theory is a lot more accepted than MBTI, which isnt really accepted at all by psychs)

For example, i use introverted intuition primarily, so i spend all my time in my own head, thinking about ideas. So as a result of abuse or whatever the logical defence mechanism would use this function and make me retreat further into my head for safety. Thing is that I live on campus with 500 others, most of whom are normie as fuck, and while i'm on good speaking terms with most of the people in my year level I don't really have people I do things with or talk to unless necessary (studying or whatever). Also when there's events where everyone gets absolutely blackout drunk I don't get any action when everyone around me is so I'm doing something wrong. Fairly facially aesthetic and I can talk to people fine but I just don't get out enough to have social market value I guess
