Why do modern memes die so fast?
>>36393791
They get overused .
>>36393791
It's because the Meme Economy is oversaturated right now
>>36393791
Nearly every problem that persists on the internet usually originates from the fact that there are simply too many people who have access to it.

This. Memes seem to have a 2 week life expectancy nowadays. They begin to get used in terrible or unrelated context by turbo normies trying to be funny
>>36393791
If a meme is not locked into place quickly by making many other connections within many different communities, then a meme is weaker for it. Normal fags have no real interests, so of course their memes fucking die. They have nothing going on in their own heads to synthesize meaning with and so what they make is a pretender instead.
Normie memes are artificial. Things like dat boi don't occur naturally, they pop up on reddit as someone's "dank meme OC"
Memes as a whole are cancerous trash, they all need to die

Artificial is a little dubious since all memes are synthetic. Maybe inorganic or inauthentic? They only have a partial understanding of what their aim is when creating a meme, and so quality is somehow lost in the equation, probably just based on their shallow understanding of the abstract.

I don't think you know what a meme actually is, anon.
