I was already pretty aware.

It was mostly surprising to see a Chad who'd fucked a bunch of women, had plenty of friends, etc etc go full "TFW NO GF REEEEEE" out of nowhere.

I was raised around stable, happy couples that legitimately never raised their voices at each other or had drama inside the relationship, so i have a baseline where I can sit back and look at toxic relationships and know that their shit ain't working out because one or both of them is fickle garbage.

But people like this, they come from broken homes and they replicate what they grew up around and thus have bitter tastes in their mouth from bad breakups, so they don't know any better and from that perspective it's easy to see where someone can go "this whole monogamy thing is just plain bullshit".

It's understandable, but it's far from correct.
