One of my childhood friends called me "a fucking retarded idiot" for sticking to skype and not using discord. I dont play online games and I only use Skype to talk to my irl friends, family, and girlfriend. I dont talk to that autist anymore

Everyone important is on IRC.

I'd like it if all the internet people and subgroups could transfer to Discord, though. It's much more orderly and easy to use. Although I don't think Discord has a filesharing system similar to XDCC which would fuck with the subgroups.

A lot of my friends started using it because it had better audio quality but all their mics are built in laptop mics.
Discord's fucking annoying because it doesn't have screen sharing or video calling.

Also discord let's you jump into a random group and practice socialising. Helped me come out of my shell. If you don't care to improve then fucking say so but otherwise i want friends and i can only start at rock bottom through anonymous chat groups

I use it as a place to manage my competitive team. That's about it. Being able to ping them right away is useful, and i'm too cheap to pay for a mumble (Plus skype/teamspeak doesn't have an overlay). I mean it's also an extremely well built app (For free that is.) I wouldn't use it for just hanging out or anything though

Discord is actually okay. I used to dislike the idea of it, but it is an enhanced form of VoIP with free hosting and anonymity.

Good image and video integration allows a server to be semi imageboard.

In a robot discord that is normie and roastie free with circlejerking against the rules, so its pretty compfy
