I'm dating somebody, first in my life. I don't know if it's just her, but I have to do fucking everything in terms of making moves. It's actually fucking retarded. It might be a gender thing, maybe it's just her, but I really have to be "the man" in the relationship (even though she insists that gender norms are bullshit).

She made it clear that she got frustrated with me for not making a move towards a first kiss yet. Part of it, for me, was that I was nervous about it. The other part was, I was frustrated that she wanted it so much but she never made the move towards it. This shit still boggles my mind, but I don't fucking know what to do anymore, so I just kind of force myself to do make the moves.

OP, there's no alternative. Just fucking do it. If you fail, you learn your lesson and grow. If you succeed, dope. If you don't do anything, then you fail by default.
