Tendies are a specific cut of chicken called tenders, hence the name. Its real meat rather than nuggets which are made from mechanically separated meat, which is basically garbage left on the carcass after all the edible parts are already cut from it. Then these little bits and piece get ground up into a mush with starch and some other shit added to it, which is what the nuggets are made of.

Im from the Netherlands and you can get them here as Crispy Strips at KFC. Theyre good quality imo but way too fucking expensive. You get 3 tendies for 4 euros, which is like 5-6 dollars. A fucking ripoff if you ask me, but i havent seen them anywhere else

McDonalds in Germany has better beef burgers (beef quality is better), otherwise its identical to ours. McDonalds France and Belgium are also identical from my experience. Imo i think its probably just a psychological effect like you said as afaik all McDonalds in Western Europe is distributed from the same center in Germany.
