A lot of you guys remind me of myself ten years ago with the "don't get close to anyone" thing. I've been an introvert my entire life, only ever had a handful of friends. Yeah, I've been betrayed, lied to, and insulted by people I thought were close.

But after it happens enough times, and enough years go by, you sort of... lose a big part of yourself. You adjust to the loneliness you feel, and start to unintentionally distance yourself from social situations.

I guess this is a lengthy way of saying that that feeling of loneliness disappears around the same time your ability to care does.

Basically I'm saying that everyone has their own bias, whether they recognize it or not, on any level.
Most people get this bias from their previous experiences and how they reacted to/percieved them
Whenever anyone says something, you need to remember this, and try to decipher what their bias is, how they could have possibly developed that bias, and how that could affect whatever it is they are saying.
A basic example is
