It's not going to fix your old issues, that's something you have to motivate yourself to do. For example virginity: It's easier to get laid when you're across the pacific in freaky-deaky-sex-land (Japan, Korea, Thailand, Philippines...) , but it's still on you to get your soapy whore/buy-me-drinky girl. Military pay is not that bad. It was the highest paying job I've ever had. Here in the civilian world, I work on German cars. (Mostly Bimmers and Benzes) If you get COLA or hazardous duty/combat pay, then it gets even better. As an Lance Corporal in Okinawa, I made about $1600/month, here in the civilian world as an automotive technician, I'm lucky to see $500 a month, if that.

Granted Auto technician sucks ass as far as pay (ASE certified or not), but that pay with the low cost of living is nothing to scoff at.
