Embarrasing Moment Thread

>eating in indian place for the first time
>order food
>waiter asks if i want nan or rice
>say no because what i ordered sounded good
>find out you have to get nan or rice separate to dip the stuff in you ordered
>outed myself as a hillbilly who doesn't even know how to order food

That was in a foreign city in a foreign country 2000 kilometers away and I still cringe at the thought, despite never ever going back to that place.

>actually go to Valentine's Day dance because crush was going
>slow dance
>go up to her and she's surrounded by her female friends
>ask her to dance
>she says no thanks
>spaghetti spills like crazy
>"what do you mean? I just want to dance, no big deal"
>start awkwardly asking almost everyone in her pack of girls if they want to dance trying to pass it off as if I didn't want to specifically want to mingle with her
>chad friend-ish pulls me away thankfully
>chad gives me dating advice
>ignore it and just sit out for the rest of the dance
>see chad dancing with my crush less than a half hour later
>chad dates my crush and breaks up 2 weeks after

Similar thing happened to one of my mates in middle school. Might as well tell the story

>be guy
>joking with me and we casually call eachother retarded in math class
>eventually he blurts out "are you retarded?" loud enough for the teacher to hear
>teacher takes guy outside the classroom to talk to
>end of the day we have an assembly for the whole 7th grade because guy apparently told her he called me retarded because everyone I class does (which is true)
>I stay quiet as the other kids keep trying to defend using retarded as a playful insult
>math teacher never looks at us the same again
