I have OCD and used to burn my arms when anxiety got really bad. The intention was to override the anxiety with some other stimulus. And it was fairly effective at that. Not anymore. I have emergency benzos instead. A year of cognitive behavioural therapy helped some as well.

I used to do it only for the scars

yeah m80, used to cut my right thigh, but i stopped one day. It's been a year clean for me!
