You screwed up, Rages best album is Evil Empire

I had friends in school and college but none of them shared my music taste. There was one kid who was only into like "babby's first indie music" like Radiohead, another kid who didn't listen to any music until he was like 17 and then only got into dad rock, etc. I could never really relate to any of them.
>>36271339
I would totally Hate-Fuck that midget for like a whole day while listening to death metal like System of a Down
>>36271386
I had a dad rock phase in high school. What do you listen to?
>>36271279
The music I like is varied enough to have some common ground with everyone I meet, even if they're not as into music as I am
You're probably narrow-minded or something
>being pretentious enough to feel superior to someone when you're still just a consumer.
Why do you care if people are in a club listening to music you don't like. You go to clubs to socialise and dance, not appreciate the best. Go home and wank off to your vynal albums if you want to listen to your music.
Also, go to another club, maybe you'll find the shit you want from there. Nobody is forcing you to be a wallflower everywhere you go. God damn poser.
No you can't vent here, fuck you.
I wish I had friends.
It's very hard to make friends post-school.
>>36271460
>You're probably narrow-minded
I'm not. I do like and listen to a lot of the same popular music my friends like. But it's not music that really speaks to me and I don't go out of my way to listen to it when I'm not in a social setting.
>>36271279
Ska fag here, I can relate
>>36271442
>What do you listen to?
These days literally anything and everything, although I mostly keep away from punk and metal which was what I was exclusively listening to back then.
Right now I'm also listening to Japanese music exclusively since it's helping me learn the language and also because it's my obsession of the week - but again it can be anything from metal to hip-hop to electronic dance music to indie rock to idol pop music to surf rock to whatever else I find.
Sometime around 2010 or something I finally came to the conclusion that music is music and being stuck on one or two genres at a time wasn't doing me any good.

what if I'm a composer / producer
can I feel superior then

I was listening to Mongolian Throat Music and field recordings for years before they became a meme on 4chan when I was going through my stoner primitive music phase.
It's still good stuff though
>>36271908

Tuvan throat music, rather, since it's not exclusively from Mongolia.

Yeah it's pretty nice
Most of the genres I listed are memes but I do like them
