I haven't talked about fitness for a long time, but...

As a skinny 18 year old I started with GOMAD and powerlifting, got my squat to 180kg, then went into bodybuilding.

After three years of that I realized I didn't want to be that person anymore, obsessed with image, worried about macros, gains etc... The culture is terrible too -- calling anyone who doesn't lift a pussy, slogans like "go big or go home". There's more to life than muscle.

It's not even healthy. I went back to eating a normal amount of calories and playing sports.
