A show for kids obviously wont be your preference, but you'll get some time to talk about things you can relate on and develop a bond as brothers. It should be fun regardless of the show's quality.

With him being really sensitive and introverted, I feel like A and B would be more likely. Also he has no idea I know he watches mlp.

I'd try to watch a whole episode when he is watching another one, close to him where you can see the screen, but not where he can sense your presence. Find a chair or surface to sit on (if you can) so you can lean forward slightly, which is body language that shows you are focused or interested while you watch it through. If he notices you anytime during or after the episode has finished, the first thing he should notice from your body language is that you were watching and looked genuinely interested like he was.

Hopefully he will have a less embarrassed reaction to watching it and make it easier for you to talk to him on the moment. Hope this helps OP.
